A collection of Rocks

This collection of similar postcards of The Rocks off Albert Promenade were 

donated by John Blagbrough of Southowram

Albert Promenade was built in 1861 and was a very popular walk for many locals.

Wainhouse Tower stands proud in the background.

Albert Promenade was built for Henry Charles McCrea, along with The Rocks, as a gift to the towns people to enjoy the landscape and views over the Calder Valley.
